Story Synopsis
Mr. Jeremy Fisher is a neat little frog who lives in a damp house among buttercups by the pond. He doesnât mind puddles or wet floorsâno one scolds him, and he never catches cold. One rainy day, Jeremy decides itâs perfect for fishing. He packs his best red mackintosh, takes a basket, and sets out to catch minnows for supper. At first the pond feels friendly: water drops, reeds, and quiet ripples. But fishing turns complicated. Jeremy slips, his boat rocks, and the pond shows its bigger creatures. A tense moment arrives when a trout nearly makes Jeremy its dinner. With quick thinking and a lot of splashing, he escapes. When he finally reaches home, wet and shaken, the warmest part of the story begins: changing clothes, drying off, and appreciating safety. Even a simple supper tastes wonderful after an adventure.
